Adelegan Oluyomi – Director (Audit & Compliance)

Oluyomi, a fellow of both the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN) was born on March 21, 1970. He is a highly trained professional accountant with multi-disciplinary skills that cut across Auditing, Taxation, Management, Banking and Finance. His professional pedigree and competences were gained over a period of 27 years work experiences covering a broad spectrum of industry and exposure in accountancy, auditing, control and compliance, risk management, corporate finance, commercial banking, and operations during his various stints in organizations that were involved in Pharmaceutical, Engineering, Printing, Finance, Banking, NGO, Primary & Secondary School and Tertiary Institutions.

He graduated from the prestigious Yaba College of Technology with a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accountancy (1996) before his foray into diverse professional trainings. He possessed a Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) in Theology from the RCCG Bible College in 2002 with distinction. He later bagged a BSc (Banking and Finance) from the University of Port Harcourt in 2010 and also successfully finished MSc (Finance), 2018 in Babcock University. He is currently studying for the award of PhD in Finance at the University of Benin, Edo State.

He is highly committed to deepening his relationship with some of the professional bodies in the country with different professional engagements as an Assessor in Advance Audit and Assurance (AAA) with ICAN from 2011 to 2012, Assessor in Management, Governance and Ethics (MGE) with ICAN from 2013 to 2017 and presently an Assistant Examiner in Corporate Strategic Management & Ethics (CSME) from 2018 to date with ICAN.

He also had a brief stint with NIM as an examiner in Financial Management in 2010. He was also previously engaged as a part-time lecturer of under-graduate students in the Department of Accounting, Banking and Finance in Michael and Cecilia Ibru University (MCIU). He taught the following courses: Auditing 1, Taxation 1, Bankruptcy, Executorship and Liquidation and Nigeria Financial System.

He worked in four different companies for a period of 13 years where he played pioneering roles in setting up the accounting systems in three of the firms before joining the banking industry. He was an Account Supervisor in Shield Securities and Finance from 1992 – 1993. He was also engaged as an Accountant in Lordmart Nigeria Limited in 1993 and left as Senior Accountant in 2001. Thereafter, he joined Dalewares Nigeria Limited as Financial Controller in 2001 for career advancement before leaving to join the banking industry in 2003.

His career in the banking industry spanned a period of 9 years in five different banks in the country from 2003 to 2012. The banks include Citizens International Bank, Spring International Bank, Oceanic International Bank, Crossover Savings and Loans Ltd and Wema Bank Plc.

He left Wema Bank PLC in May, 2012 for career advancement in Michael and Cecilia Foundation (MCF) as EDGM (Quality Assurance) and he was subsequently engaged as Director, Audit and Compliance, Michael and Cecilia Ibru University (MCIU) at Delta State from August 1, 2015 to October 31, 2020. He was also a member of the Governing Council of the University from 2017 to 2019 as representative of the Non-Academic Staff.

He also coordinates Crown Choice Nigeria Limited as Managing Director from November, 2020 to date. He was also engaged as Origination Director from November 2021 to date before joining CPA Partners (Chartered Accountants) as Director (Audit & Compliance) from January 2022 to date.

He is an ordained minister and a youth pastor in the Redeemed Christian Church of God. He is happily married to Mrs Olajumoke Rachael Adelegan who is also a professional accountant and the marriage is blessed with children. His hobbies include Reading, Mentoring, Travelling, Jogging and listening to inspirational Christian Music.
